Who We Are

Santa Barbara Jewish Singles (aka SBJS) is a fun and cultural group of Single Jewish Adults from 35 years and up. Members are from Santa Barbara and Ventura Counties. All visitors to our Southern California paradise are welcome to the events. Members are encouraged to attend planning meetings to help plan future events.

One way or another, we have been around for many years. We host events that make it easy to meet new Jewish friends. Our mailing list of members is over 114 people from all over the South Coast, including Lompoc, Ojai, Solvang, Santa Barbara, Goleta, Ventura and Thousand Oaks.

What We Like to Do

In the past, our events have included sunset beachwalks, movies, wine tasting parties, potlucks dinners, tennis, Shabbat services and theater and symphony outings. Our annual events include the Jewish Festival during the summer, a Break-the-Fast Party after Yom Kippur, and a Hanukkah Party in December.

How to Get Involved

Our events are open to all adults. So feel free to drop in on whatever interests you. We also hold periodic planning meetings which are open to all members. We are always open to new ideas for events. All meetings are warm and friendly, offering a chance for everyone to get involved.
