Guidelines for Collaboration
The purpose of an SCTA meeting is to explore the types of networking
being done in the community, discover what community needs have not yet
been met, and find ways to help meet those needs. At SCTA meetings,
ideas gestate and collaborations are formed.
All interested members of the community are encouraged to join our group
and form collaborations. In meeting new people with similar goals, new
business and personal relationships will develop. The goal of SCTA is to
catalyze that potential for collaboration. The role of SCTA is to
stimulate collaboration, not to determine who collaborates with whom, nor
to excercise control over the resulting collaboration.
Resource providers are encouraged to offer solutions, but each member has
the freedom to choose whether or not to use that solution. SCTA will not
act as a platform for a particular group.
We offer the following guidelines:
- Any individual, organization, or business with an interest in
computer networking as a solution to local needs is welcome to join and
participate in SCTA
- Participants are encouraged to inform the group of their
particular needs as well as services they can offer other participants
- It is at the sole discretion of a participant to accept or not
accept an offered service. SCTA will not designate or recommend that a
particular service or product be used by any participant
- SCTA will provide the forum where interested community members
can meet to discuss community networking, share ideas and offer skills
- SCTA will offer resource information to encourage potential
collaboration, but will not attempt to direct or control any collaboration
