An Ancient prayer. O Lord I implore thee to bless all mankind take us to dwell with thee. This prayer was sent to me & is to be sent all over the world. Copy it & see what will happen. -It was said in Jesus time that all wrote it would be delivered from all calamity & all who passed it by would meet with some misfortune. Those who copy it in 9 days & send it to nine friends will on the 9th receive some great joy. Do not break the chain

Written on a divided back picture postcard (five carriages in shallow river). Mailed from Averill Park, New York on May 2, 1912 to Miss Ida Warger of Averill Park. Reformatted, with a few small corrections here. The concluding month and day have been written over a prior erased date. Provided by Robert C. Goss, Nashville, Tennessee to D. VanArsdale. Was 12-05.
