you.  It has been around the world four times by U. S. Officers.  The
one who breaks the chain will have bad luck.

Please copy this and see what happens to you four days after you get it.
Do not send money and do not keep this copy --- send it and four others
to those to whom you wish good luck.  It must leave your home 24 hours
after you receive it.

Matthew 17:19-20 reads:  "Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast him out? And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief; for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you."  This is appropriate for a chain letter, all the more so without verse 19. Thus "Matthew, Chapter 7, verses 1 to 20" of letter 54-04 is likely a corruption of "Matthew 17:20" as above. Hence estimate of 1954 or earlier. Archived by D. VanArsdale.
