The Social Revolutionaries belived the force to overthrow the czar's government would come from Russia's peasants. 7) Why was it a mistake for the provisional government to continue the war? The Russian army was no more willing to die for the provisional government than for the czar.
8) If Nicholas II had been a more competent ruler, could he have prevented the Russian Revolution? Or was it the result of events beyond his control?
