Missy has danced
her way through heavens gates and left many of us here to walk in her shadow
and the beautiful gift of spirit she left to us. She was for many years
a talented and giving Psychologist who sacrificed her own well being for
her patients. She was and always will be a wonderful Mother, Daughter,
and Sister. She is still the only Love I have ever known and will remain
so until I join her one day in heaven. She is sorely missed by myself,
our Daughter, her Father, 2 brothers, her Grandparents, 9 brother and sister-in-law's,
26 nieces and nephews, and our entire Community.
Missy was born June 23, 1959 and left to be with God on June 6, 1997 after
a short battle with Cancer. She lived with humor, dignity, grace and love.
She died an embodiment of these things and left them instilled in her family
along with the belief in God, undying Faith and her wish for unconditional
love towards everyone. Our loss is heaven's gain and it is only through
the values she has left with us and God that we can go on.
Our lifes were made more wonderful for having known her, our time together
a blessing but too brief. She reminded us that the greater part of beauty
comes from within and showed us through her life's work how to see that,
how to face life and death with courage and open arms and most of all,
she taught us all the true meaning of what love is supposed to be.
She tried hard to fly with bruised wings and it's our belief that she now
soars with heavenly creatures free from all that held her down on earth.
Her bruises are no more. Her body no longer in pain. We thank God for taking
her in and ask Him to take care of her since she is new. Her spirit remains
in our hearts, lives on through her words, and is seen in every sunrise
and sunset softly smiling down at us. "Although we weep selfishly
for ourselves we rejoice knowing you are free to fly and spread your Love
through heaven."
Dan
"Gentle branches made of gold, a whirl of white, the night entombed.
Be not sad in thought, your thoughts one day shall cease. It does not matter
how nor why...gentle branches shall enfold thee."
Cancer is so limited
It cannot cripple love
It cannot shatter hope
It cannot corrode faith
It cannot destroy peace
It cannot kill friendship
It cannot suppress memories
It cannot silence courage
It cannot invade the soul
It cannot conquer the Spirit
