ITEM FOR COUNCIL CONSIDERATION:
Confirmation of cancellation of October 13, 1997 City Council meeting.
At the September 8, 1997 Council meeting, an action was taken under Public Information Reports, to cancel the first regularly scheduled Council meeting in October. The cancellation was due to all five councilmembers and City staff attendance at the Annual League of California Cities Conference in San Francisco.
Because the matter was not an agendized item at the September 8, 1997 meeting, staff is recommending that via the Consent Calendar, the Council reaffirm their action to cancel the October 13, 1997 meeting.
Staff has reviewed the upcoming schedule of items for the agenda and at this time there are no issues that would be negatively impacted by the cancellation of the meeting. As always, should an immediate need arise for the Council to consider and/or take action on a matter, a special meeting can be scheduled.
RECOMMENDATION:
That the Council confirm their action to cancel the October 13, 1997 meeting.
