Pumice Stone is comprised of extra fine powdered volcanic rock. It is used as a polishing and antiquing abrasive. Pumice Stone grading ranges from the finest grade of FFFF, to grade F the most coarse.

Rottenstone
Rottenstone is comprised of decomposed limestone and is also used as a polish and antiquing abrasive. Rottenstone is a softer, and thus finer, abrasive than Pumice. Both pumice and rottenstone can be used in conjunction with linseed oil and a felt pad to produce an exceptionally fine rubbed finish on most finishes.

Precipitated Calcium Carbonate

Polishing Materials
Duraglit Wadding Polish
Duraglit wadding polish comes to us from England and is made of a thick cotton wadding roll impregnated with mineral spirits and micro-fine aluminum oxide abrasives. Duraglit comes in two types: the first, the more coarse of the two, is for brass, copper, chrome and other metals. The second, the finer of the two, is for silver. Each 75g can contains a roll approx. 2-1/2" wide x 16" long.

Solvol Autosol Metal Polish
Solvol Autosol metal polish cleans, protects and polishes all bright metal surfaces, including but not limited to, chrome, aluminum, stainless steel, copper and brass. It’s strong enough to remove rust corrosion and oxides, from heavily weathered items like door knobs, yet gentle enough to use on all metals and alloys, even gold, producing outstanding results. Solvol Autosol works equally as well on fiberglass, marble, ivory and much more. It’s great for removal of ball point pen ink from most all surfaces. It can be applied in small areas with a cotton tipped applicator, or larger areas with a polishing cloth or roll cotton, and works great when applied with a small cleaning brush like our small china bristle cleaning brush. When you are finished polishing, any residual polish can be removed with a mild solvent (Stoddard Solvent works well) and clean polishing cloth. Solvol Autosol comes packed in 100g tubes (about the size of a large tube of toothpaste).

Our rouge impregnated polishing cloth is by Fabulustre. It is a double cloth, one side cleans while the other side polishes. The cleaning side is impregnated with rouge, while the other is untreated for final polishing. Measure 9" x 11".

Abrasive Sheets
Micro-Mesh Cushioned Abrasive
Micro-Mesh is a unique cushioned abrasive that produces a very fine and uniform scratch pattern. It is made with a flexible cloth backing, topped with a layer of specially formulated latex. Silicone carbide or aluminum oxide crystals are bonded with a flexible glue. Micro-Mesh abrasives can polish to a high reflective state or leave a matte or satin finish depending on where you stop using the series. It can be used wet or dry and will last 5 to 10 times longer than ordinary sandpaper.
Micro-Mesh can be used to polish: acrylic, wood (bare or finished), ceramics, metals, paints, epoxy, stone, and most any hard surfaces. Micro-Mesh is available in the following grades: 1500, 1800, 2400, 3200, 3600, 4000, 6000, 8000, 12000. It is available in various sheet sizes. Assortment sets contain one sheet of each grade (9 in total) per size selected. The following kits are also available:

Micro-Mesh Belts and Sanding-Stick
Now you can get into those nooks and crannies with a Sanding-Stick with a Micro-Mesh Belt. The slim design of this tool allows you to sand intricate carvings, turnings and ceramics. The Sanding-Stick is made of high impact plastic that won’t break under pressure. These sticks use an abrasive belt that is held on with a spring loaded tension end. This allows you to rotate the belt around the stick to get maximum use out of every belt.
Micro-Mesh Belts are made of loops of Micro-Mesh in all 9 grades and are 1/4" wide. The belts are packed (5) per bag or in an assortment pack of (2) per each grit.
