Tissue Paper, Acid-Free

Our unbuffered acid-free tissue paper is excellent for stuffing, interleaving or a variety of uses. This translucent tissue (16gm2) is completely acid-free and has a thickness of .001. Available in either sheets or rolls, it has countless applications in museums, archives or libraries. Its very soft surface makes it an ideal choice for separation wrapping. Excellent for costume storage.

Our buffered acid-free tissue paper is the same as above with a 3% calcium carbonate buffer added. Buffering agent will help prevent acid migration to the tissue itself. All tissue paper in sheet stock is packaged 100 sheets to a pack.

CSS Acid-Free Tissue Paper

CSS brand acid-free unbuffered tissue paper offers you excellent value for the dollar. It is translucent, acid-free, pH neutral (7.0-7.3), made from virgin alpha-cellulose pulp, and contains no sulfur that could cause tarnish. At this time we are stocking 30" x 40" sheets and 40" x 1,000’ rolls with a thickness of .0012". Our tissue paper is priced lower because we buy large volumes of only one size of this material and convert it ourselves. The tissue is sealed in a polypropylene sleeve to preserve its acid-free state, and packed in a shipping tube.

Wet Strength Tissue / Facing Tissue

This high-purity, 100% cotton all rag sheet was developed to meet the highest quality standards for the storage of photographs, textiles, and works on paper. Made in a very smooth finish to prevent damage to negatives and prints by abrasion, this natural white, cotton rag paper is unbuffered and sulfur-free. Fiber distribution and formation of this paper are excellent. The pH at the time of manufacture is 7.3. Since the paper is not buffered, a drop in pH-value is to be expected when exposed to normal atmospheric conditions. This tissue passes the Photo Activity Test of ANSI Standard IT9.2.

The sheet stock measures 24" x 36" and is packed 100 and 500 sheets per carton. Roll stock is 72" in width and 150 feet in length.

Glassine, acid-Free

Our acid-free glassine (26gm2) is excellent for a variety of conservation applications. It is transparent and smooth with a pH of approximately 7.0 and is unbuffered. Its light weight makes it easy to fold or shape and is excellent for use in situations where its transparency is helpful. Sheet stock is available upon request.

Blotting Paper

Heavy Weight Blotting Paper

This extra heavy weight blotting paper is intended for use to absorb moisture like felt, dried, and reused. It can also be used as a shelf/drawer liner, shipping crate liner and has excellent properties for paper pulping. This material is acid-free and made from 100% cotton linters and specially formulated to help retard deterioration of the cotton fiber. It has a pH value of 7. Each sheet measures 38" x 52" and has a caliper thickness of 100 pt. Full carton of 50 sheets must be shipped via truck line.

Lightweight Blotting Paper

Our lightweight blotting paper has a caliper thickness of 20 point and is intended for use to absorb moisture like felt, dried, and reused. It is acid-free with a pH value of 7. Silicone release Paper

Our silicone release paper is a cut above the rest. Unlike other release papers, ours is first coated on one side with a layer of polyethylene to seal the paper and then coated with a layer of silicone. This extra layer of polyethylene produces a smooth release paper with very good release characteristics that moisture and even many chemicals can’t penetrate. The paper basis weight is 60lb. At this time we are stocking only 60" x 250’ rolls.

Corrugated Board

Our corrugated board is a light blue-gray in color. It was developed to provide strong, rigid panels meeting archival quality. The 12-1/2 pt. caliper paper used in the manufacture of these panels is of a special acid-free, lignin-free quality of excellent strength characteristics which has been buffered against acid migration. A water-resistant, modified starch adhesive of neutral pH is used for corrugating. The panels are fabricated in single wall (1/8"), double wall (1/4"), and cross laminated double wall (1/4") construction.

Foamboard

We offer you the choice of either regular or acid-free foamboard. Our acid-free foamboard offers the best protection for all your mounting and backing projects. The facing paper on both sides of the board has a pHa of 7.3-8.5 and is buffered to maintain its pH level. The inert core is made of extruded polystyrene.
