Mylar-D

Mylar-D from Dupont is considered the best polyester film for archival use. This is due in part to its high clarity, stiff hand, and lack of coatings and additives that could off gas. Available in both roll and sheet stock.

Dartek

Dartek Cast Nylon Film

Dartek Cast Nylon Film is a soft, transparent, nylon film with no plasticizers, additives or surface coatings. It is often used as a covering membrane for lining of paintings on a vacuum hot table or low pressure table. When used in a heated setting it becomes softer and more conforming. Dartek Cast Nylon Film is 0.75 mil thick, 88" wide and 200’ in length.

Silicone coated polyester

We have both single and double sided silicone coated polyester. The single sided silicone coated polyester is made of 0.92 mil, 61" wide, polyester, coated on one side with a film of silicone.

Our double sided silicone coated polyester is made of 1.42 mil, 62" wide, polyester, coated on two sides with a film of silicone. Both of these products are extremely useful when working with restoration adhesives or whenever you need a non-stick surface.

Oxygen/Moisture Barrier Films

These films are effective and cost-efficient protective packaging solutions for conservation, non-toxic fumigation, long-term storage and shipping of art and artifacts. When properly fabricated into a bag or other enclosed chambers, barrier films can virtually eliminate oxygen and water vapor penetration. Barrier films can protect against harmful elements including gases, liquids, moisture, vermin and insects and provide greater peace of mind in shipping and storage.

Roll stock of different widths and lengths are available for you to make your own enclosures, line shelves or shipping crates.

We offer two different barrier films to meet your needs:

Marvelseal 360 is an opaque, flexible, waterproof, heat sealable laminated material which includes a layer of aluminum foil, polyethylene, polyester, and polyethylene. This material is ideal for applications not requiring visibility of the bag or chamber contents. We stock UNPRINTED Marvelseal 360.

Aclar is a transparent, flexible, waterproof, heat sealable laminated material which includes a layer of Aclar, polyethylene, polyester, and polyethylene. This material is ideal for applications requiring visibility of the bag or chamber contents.
