History .....
Ingeborg's Danish Chocolates was founded by Ingeborg Larsen in Solvang in 1961 where delicious Danish Chocolates were handmade on the premises. Prior to coming to the United States, Ingeborg had been employed as a chocolate dipper in one of Denmark's largest chocolate factories, and she brought many of her delicious recipes from the old country to her Solvang shop, some of which are close to 70 years old. My wife and I purchased the Chocolate Factory from Ingeborg in 1976, and still probably create and produce these original recipes to offer you fine chocolates in the true Danish tradition.
Still handmade, we now make close to 70 different tempting mouth watering chocolates to choose from - even for the most discriminating chocolate lovers. Soft centers, assorted nuts on a swirl of chocolate, smooth light chocolate nut clusters, almond bark, truffles and crunchy after-dinner peppermint, orange and our newest addition, raspberry sticks, are a few of our handmade velvety delights. Artfully arranged in beautiful gift boxes, the finishing touch is added to this special holiday treat on the Factory premises so that you can be assured of the quality and appearance of your gift.
