| Here's an excerpt from a 1997 performance at Santa Barbara's Lobero Theater. We had more than two dozen musicians in attendance, and a sold-out house. In this photo, you can see a fiddle trio: master luthier Jim Wimmer (and no slouch as a fine fiddler!), bluegrass great Byron Berline, and violin virtuoso Gilles Apap. Bill Bryson (hidden) was playing bass, and Big Jim Griffith is doing the banjo honors; I'm on guitar. |
