Gaviota Coast Wind Safety Project

This website details various examples for providing enhanced transportation, community safety and commerce safeguards along the Gaviota Coast.

The below links were developed from information shared over a three-month period (June to August 2006) with multiple agencies that have jurisdictional responsibilities within Santa Barbara County.  These ideas and concepts have been passed along to the Santa Barbara Association of Governments (SBCAG), California Highway Patrol and Caltrans District 5 who are continuing to work and develop traffic management and safety solutions for the community. For updated information on local transportation projects and news, please contact SBCAG, Caltrans District 5 or your local CHP offices.
