Gaviota Coast Wind Safety Project
August 10, 2006 UPRR North Dakota Incident
A sudden wind event with winds measured at 60 mph resulted in a North Dakota UPRR work line derailment that was estimated to cost ten-million dollars.
The incident occurred on August 10, 2006. The Gaviota Trestle incident occurred on July 1, 2006.
