Tajon Incident

Santa Barbara County Fire Department responded five Type III Heavy Brush Trucks to the Tajon Incident on June 30, 2003. The Strike Team, with the designator SBC-1530-Charlie, responding as an assembled Strike Team at Fire Station No. 13 at 04:00 hours. The team arrived at the Tajon Incident Command Post at 06:20 AM.
The fire was started along the Interstate Hwy 5 from a semi-truck that had caught on fire. The fire jumped the road and extended up adjacent hillsides that took off, consuming grass covered hillisides and becoming the Tajon Incident.
