Santa Barbara Offices
The Planning and Development offices are located just across the street from the historic Santa Barbara Courthouse. Public parking is available in Lot 6 on Anacapa Street. The Metropolitan Transit District serves the County complex with a bus stop on Anacapa Street at the courthouse.
From the North..
Take U.S. Highway 101 south. Take the Carrillo Street Exit. At the bottom of the off-ramp turn left on Carrillo Street and proceed under the Highway 101 overpass. Proceed on Carrillo Street toward the mountains to Chapala Street. Turn left on Chapala Street (one way). Proceed three blocks to Victoria Street. Turn right on Victoria Street. Cross State Street and proceed one block. Turn right on Anacapa Street (one way). Park in City Lot No. 6 on the right side of the street.
From the South...
Take U.S. Highway 101 north. Take the Laguna/Garden Street exit. At the bottom of the off ramp turn right. Take the first left on Gutierrez Street (one way). Cross Garden Street and turn right on Santa Barbara Street (one way). Proceed several blocks. You will pass the Courthouse on your left. Cross Anapamu Street and turn left on Victoria Street. Proceed one block and turn left on Anacapa Street (one way). Park in City Lot No. 6 on the right side of the street.
From the City Parking Lot No 6 ...
Enter the 4 story County Administration Building across Anacapa Street. If you are going to the Board of Supervisors Hearing Room take the elevators to the 4th floor. If you are going to the Planning Commission walk through the lobby and through the double doors leading to the Planning Commission Hearing Room. If you are visiting Planning and Development, take the hallway which goes around the hearing room to the right You will see the entrance to the Planning and Development on your left at the foot of the stairs. Please check in with the receptionist.
If you are going to the Zoning and Building Permit Counter go up the stairs to the second floor. You will see the counter at the top of the stairs.
Energy Division ...
The Energy Division has moved to Figueroa Street between Anacapa Street and State Street. Our offices are directly across the street from the City parking lot.
